Sinus Relief without Surgery

As patients' needs evolve so do the procedures that solve those patient needs. Minimally invasive procedures are leading the way when it comes to ENT procedures and some that we offer include:

Cryotherapy Can Help Excessive Rhinorrhea

Chronic rhinitis may be caused by signals submitted by the nerves in your nose. The nerves can become hyperactive and out of balance resulting in more signals being sent and causing your nose to react like it is fighting an illness. These lead to the symptoms of rhinitis. ClariFix® may be able to help:

Chronic Sinus Infections

XprESS™ ENT Dilation System

Many Americans deal with the inflammation and swelling of the tissues in the sinuses known as sinusitis. This swelling causes mucus and fluid buildup inside the sinuses leading to infections, inflammation, and pain.

Symptoms include:

  • Congestion
  • Nasal blockage
  • Nasal discharge
  • Fever
  • Fatigue

Nasal Congestion

LATERA® is an absorbable nasal implant used to support the upper and lower cartilage inside the lateral (side) wall of your nose. Supporting the cartilage may reduce nasal airway obstruction symptoms and help you breathe better. The implant is placed inside the nasal wall by an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat, or ENT, specialist). Talk to your doctor to find out if LATERA® could be right for you.

LATERA® may help you breathe better with little risk of changes to appearance.  LATERA® showed significant quality-of-life improvement for nasal obstruction patients with lateral wall or nasal valve collapse, as measured by the NOSE survey. Patients achieved these results without negative cosmetic effects.

A clinical study shows that LATERA® patients demonstrate:

  • Reduced nasal congestion or stuffiness
  • Less trouble breathing through the nose
  • Improved ability to get enough air through the nose during exercise or exertion
  • Reduced nasal blockage or obstruction
  • Less trouble sleeping

Nitrous Oxide for In-Office Procedures

What is Nitrouseal?

Nitrouseal is a premium nitrous inhalation analgesia system that is available for use in our medical setting without exposing medical personnel to the exhaled nitrous.

The Nitrouseal system includes state-of-the-art all-digital Flowmeter technology with adjustable nitrous concentration for precise patient-dosage, FDA cleared scavenging, and a patented disposable full-face mask and breathing circuit (tubing) invented by a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to administer the inhaled nitrous/oxygen mixture and to then capture and eliminate the exhaled nitrous from the treatment area.

Nasal Airway Obstruction

Nasal obstructions can be caused by anatomical blockages in the nose. They may make you feel congested and restrict airflow. You may find temporary relief self medicating but in reality, true relief won’t come until the airway is opened up.

Symptoms of Nasal Obstruction:

  • Trouble breathing through the nose
  • Nasal congestion
  • Difficulty breathing during exercise
  • Difficulty sleeping

If you always have trouble breathing through your nose and nothing helps you may have an obstruction that needs to be repaired. You can find relief without surgery with VivAer®.

If you suffer from a constant runny nose, congestion, coughing, itching, and sneezing you may be suffering from chronic rhinitis.

For most people, finding an effective treatment for their chronic rhinitis seems impossible and frustrating. You may be just managing your symptoms as best as you can with no long-term relief in sight.

Symptoms of Chronic Rhinitis:

  • Persistent runny nose
  • Post-nasal drip
  • Nasal congestion
  • Itching and sneezing

You won’t find lasting relief until you address the root of your chronic rhinitis. For many patients, the symptoms of rhinitis may be caused by signals in the nose. The RhinAer® procedure can help disrupt these signals.

Nasal Polyps

SINUVA® uses a 2 in 1 approach to reduce the symptoms of nasal obstruction, congestion, and nasal polyps.

No Surgery Needed

  • Placed into the sinus cavity during an office visit
  • Usually can’t be felt once it is in
  • Removed at 90 days or earlier

How well does SINUVA work?

During a clinical trial, 201 patients received SINUVA® and 99 patients received a placebo. All of the patients that underwent the study had been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis and had already had nasal surgery. They were also candidates for revision surgery. All patients were required to use nasal spray daily.

SINUVA® proved to shrink nasal polyps for up to 90 days. The patients that were treated with SINUVA® reported reduced sinus obstruction and improvement in their reduced sense of smell. They were also less likely to need repeated sinus surgery.

PROPEL® Sinus Stent

The most effective treatment for chronic sinusitis treatment is minimally invasive surgery because the bad tissue is removed.  But there is always a threat of scarring and inflammation blocking the sinuses again. PROPEL® is used for long-term relief.

PROPEL® sinus stents are small devices that are dissolvable and bio compatible. They are coated with an anti-inflammatory drug called mometasone furoate. PROPEL® is used to keep open the sinuses after surgery and to locally deliver the drug. This is important because keeping the sinuses open after surgery can help prevent the scarring and inflammation that would otherwise cause problems after sinus surgery.
